The reason Caenis was granted this was because they were raped by Poseidon and didn’t want to go thru that again. Even the lore for her/him in FGO got that right despite how they were designed for the male gaze.
But that’s according Ovid’s “Metamorphoses”. Other earlier versions state that they slept together and Caenis asked to be turned into a man. In fact, Aculasius, who lived like one thousand years before Ovid, wrote that the reason Caenis wanted to be a man was to not have children.

You can’t tell me that if Lan Wangji heard that Wei Wuxian enjoyed grilled food that he wouldn’t go out and absolutely master the art so he can spoil his husband properly.
People vastly underestimate Lan Wangji’s desire to do anything that Wei Wuxian likes so that he can have all he deserves.
Yes and its so much more, too. He cooked Wei Wuxian’s meal in the Cloud Recesses that made him so happy. If he can do that, he can master cooking over an open flame. Grilling was made for guys with someone to impress, and is that not Lan Wangji? Does Lan Wangji not feel it important to let his husband know how lucky he is to have him? Is Lan Wangji not constantly praised for being so capable? Yes, by Wei Wuxian, but also by the majority of the world, as well. Grilling isn’t as difficult as it seems, though it is easy to mess up, but Lan Wangji didn’t grow up in the Lan sect learning patience to fail at making the perfect grill marks on a burger patty for his spoiled husband.
